Night Excursion Itinerary at Estancia Tierras Patagónicas

Hotel Pickup We will pick you up at your hotel, house, or apartment to start the excursion. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before. Traveling along Provincial Route No. 11, we will head to Estancia Tierras Patagónicas, located 40 km from El Calafate and next to Los Glaciares National Park. Along the way, enjoy incredible views of Lake Argentino with the Andes Mountains in the background, as well as native flora and fauna.


Activities at the Estancia

Arrival and Free Exploration (Approximately 1 hour after departure)

  • Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the surroundings of the estancia and enjoy the natural environment. You’ll have the chance to learn about the estancia’s history and discover the local flora and fauna.

Dinner (Approximately 1.5 hours after departure)

  • Dinner will begin around 8:30 pm, depending on the start time, with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. The buffet menu includes:
    • Long pasta, lasagna Bolognese, sorrentinos or ravioli, and gnocchi, accompanied by sauces: four cheese, Bolognese, white sauce, and filetto.
    • Dessert.
    • Drinks: 1 bottle of wine per 2 people, or 1 soft drink or mineral water per person.
    • Gluten-free and vegan menu options available with prior notice.

Sky and Stars Observation (Astrotourism) (Approximately 3 hours after departure)

  • Around 10:00 pm, we will begin with a 15-minute introductory film about astronomy to prepare for what we will see in the sky.
  • After the film, an astronomer will guide you in observing the stars. You will learn how to use the telescope and gain insight into the Milky Way, nebulae, stars, constellations, mythology, and more.
  • There will also be a session for night photography and “Light Painting.” We recommend bringing warm clothing, a mate set, and a camera.

Return to Hotels

  • After this unique experience, we will begin the return journey to the hotels in El Calafate.

Faq

The excursion will be suspended only in the event of rain. In this case, the activity can be rescheduled at no cost or all the money paid for the reservation can be refunded

The activity is available every day, from Monday to Sunday from October to April (not available from May to September)

We are also operational on December 25th (Christmas) and January 1st (New Year’s Day). Please inquire for more information. We are closed on December 24th and 31st.

 

Bring comfortable and warm clothing, a hat, jacket, and gloves to protect yourself from the cold. We also recommend bringing your mate set and your camera.

Dinner is served buffet-style and includes:

Long pastas, lasagna bolognese, sorrentinos or ravioli, and gnocchi.

Accompanied by 4 cheese, bolognese, white sauce, and filetto sauces.

Dessert.

Drinks included:

1 bottle of wine per 2 people or
1 soft drink or mineral water per person.
