Set out on a scenic kayaking adventure along the Río de las Vueltas, just outside El Chaltén. After meeting at the operational base, guests are transferred to the Mirador Laguna Cóndor, where the journey begins. Paddle through 12 kilometers of gentle currents and winding channels surrounded by lush Andean forest and panoramic views of Mount Fitz Roy. No prior experience is needed, and all necessary equipment is provided. At the end of the route, relax with an optional traditional Patagonian lunch at Estancia Bonanza before returning to town. A perfect mix of nature, adventure, and local flavor.

Your adventure begins at 9:00 AM at our base in El Chaltén (Av. San Martín 872). After check-in, our bilingual guides will provide all the necessary technical and safety gear. Based on your kayaking experience, you’ll be assigned either a double sit-on-top or a single touring kayak.
Once everyone is ready, you’ll head out on a 40-minute scenic drive along RP41 to the Mirador Laguna Cóndor, where the kayaking portion begins. After a final gear check and safety briefing, you’ll launch into the Río de las Vueltas around 10:00 AM. The route covers 12 kilometers of calm, shallow water winding through lush Andean forest, with breathtaking views of Mount Fitz Roy.
You’ll paddle for approximately 1.5 hours, arriving at Estancia Bonanza by around 11:30 AM. A support vehicle will be waiting with your belongings so you can change into dry clothes. Guests who choose the lunch option will enjoy a traditional Patagonian meal, featuring dishes like roasted lamb or Curanto, with sides, dessert, and a drink — all with a stunning mountain backdrop.
If you opt out of lunch, you’ll return to El Chaltén shortly after arrival, reaching town by 1:00 PM. Those staying for lunch will return later, arriving back at around 3:30 PM.
