The day begins by departing from the hotel at 7:45 a.m., where you will board a van that will take you to the Sarmiento entrance gate of Torres del Paine National Park. Afterwards, you will hike 9.5 km on mainly flat terrain, crossing the pampas, where you will learn about ancient geological processes that have shaped this UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, encountering evidence of the first inhabitants of these lands.
It is a protected territory that can only be entered with certified guides, where you can find rock paintings of the Aonikenk people, as well as a great diversity of wildlife, primarily guanacos, as well as a high presence of birds of prey, scavengers, and pumas.
