The Base Torres Tour begins with a hike along the foothills of Mount Almirante Nieto, where the combination of the breeze and the view will make your soul feel alive.
Granite peaks rise in the distance as you follow the trail along the steep slopes of the Ascencio Valley. Lush trees and vegetation line the river below, and your field of vision extends to the end of the valley, allowing you a complete view of the path ahead.
You’ll enter a native lenga forest and reach a rocky area, signaling the final, but most challenging, part of the trail. This climb will literally put you on alert, and you’ll need to pay attention as you navigate from one rock to another. But as with all hard work, you’ll reap your reward.
At the top, you’ll be able to relax and reflect on the beauty of the world in front of the Torres del Paine.
This guided tour starts in the morning. Departure is from the reception of Hotel Las Torres and must be booked in advance.
