The Cuernos Sector Trail Tour is an impressive journey between the imposing Mount Almirante Nieto and the northern shore of the icy blue Nordenskjöld Lake. As you walk along the lake, pristine streams fed by hanging glaciers crisscross the rocky trail that leads you to the Cuernos Sector.
You’ll cross a suspension bridge over the Arriero River, make a stop to see Inge Lagoon, and witness rocks and land formations that resemble the moon. Nestled just below a cluster of jagged peaks known as the Cuernos, this area offers incredible and contrasting views of Nordenskjöld Lake, towering granite spires, and dense green woodland.
You’ll likely witness the famous rotor winds passing by, resembling small tornadoes spinning from one part of the lake to another.
This guided tour starts in the morning. Departure is from the reception of Hotel Las Torres and must be booked in advance.
