With the horseback riding to the Hidden Glaciers, you can explore the most remote corners of Los Glaciares National Park and experience authentic rural life at the three outposts of the Estancia that serve as the base for the journey. Access a unique postcard of the Patagonian Andean forest, the crystal-clear waters of the lakes, the immensity of the mountains, and the imposing glaciers as you advance towards the outposts that serve as shelter and evoke traditional rural life.

After pick up from your hotel in El Calafate, or even in El calafate airport, we will go directly to the incredible Estancia Nibepo Aike.
The route from El Calafate to Estancia Nibepo Aike takes travelers through some of the most stunning landscapes of Argentine Patagonia. Typically, the journey begins in El Calafate, a town known for its proximity to the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier.
From El Calafate, travelers usually head southwest on Provincial Route 11, also known as the “Camino al Glaciar” (Glacier Road). This route offers breathtaking views of Lake Argentino and the surrounding mountains as it winds its way through the rugged Patagonian terrain.
After approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles), travelers reach the turnoff for Provincial Route 15, which leads to Estancia Nibepo Aike. This road continues through the picturesque countryside, passing by vast expanses of grasslands dotted with grazing sheep and cattle.
As travelers approach Estancia Nibepo Aike, they may catch glimpses of the ranch’s traditional buildings against the backdrop of the snow-capped Andes mountains. The final stretch of the journey often involves driving along unpaved roads, adding to the sense of adventure and remoteness of the location.

The main house of the pioneering family has been converted into a Country Inn, the ideal setting for relaxation in a natural environment. It’s a typical Patagonian construction, featuring warm spaces, maintaining the original wooden floors, and the original fireplace.
During the months of November and April, due to weather conditions, access will only be available to the Laguna Outpost, making the program 4 days and 3 nights: one night at the Country Inn and two nights at the Laguna Outpost. During the months of December, January, February, and March, departures are for 5 days and 4 nights: one night at the Country Inn, the second night at La Rosada Outpost, and the third and fourth nights at the Laguna Outpost.

What´s included?
In either option, one night of accommodation in a Standard room at the Country Inn is included, along with horseback riding every day to various spots guided by an estate guide, meals and beverages throughout the program, saddlebags for the horses, and also the option to take the Adventure excursion with Glaciar Sur company.
La Rosada Outpost: It is a shelter with two rooms. It has four bunk beds and a dining area. It does not have a full bathroom, only a toilet.
Laguna 3 de Abril Outpost: This outpost has two rooms. One room with 2 bunk beds and a single bed (5 people), and another area that serves as a dining room and kitchen where there are two more stools that convert into beds. In another smaller outpost a few meters away, there is one more bunk bed with a bathroom with a shower.
Difficulty of the horseback ride: Moderate.
Riders should have experience in horseback riding for at least 6 hours per day.
Child policy: Only guests over 12 years old are accepted.
