Your tour begins with a short drive to Punta Walichu, just 8 kilometers from El Calafate. Here, you’ll walk along natural rock shelters and caves featuring ancient rock paintings—some original and others replicated—while taking in breathtaking views of Lake Argentino and the Andes.

Next, you’ll explore the historic streets of El Calafate’s old town, where your guide will share stories about the first settlers and current civic landmarks. The tour continues with a scenic drive along the coastal path and Redonda Bay, where you can spot local birds along the lake’s edge.

Finally, you’ll visit the Historical Interpretation Center for a self-guided experience that walks you through the region’s timeline, from glaciations to modern day.
