ITINERARY

Starting at 07:00 a.m, we will pick you up at the Hotel in El Calafate to begin our adventure.
We will travel a little more than 200 kilometers from El Calafate to El Chalten, also known as the National Capital of Trekking. Halfway through, we will visit the Parador La Leona for about 15 minutes.
Around midmorning, we will be arriving at El ChaltĂ©n. After visiting the National Park Administration’s interpretation center, we will walk for approximately 1.30 hours through the Mirador de Los CĂ³ndores Circuit.
On the return, we will regain energy with a delicious lunch and visit the Chorrillo del Salto (a short walk that will allow us to appreciate a waterfall of about 20 meters high).
In the afternoon, we will have about 30 minutes to visit the town before meeting again to start the return to El Calafate.

FAQs

Is this tour available on December 24th, 25th, 31st or January 1st?

Please check with us.

Does this tour have any age restrictions?

No. All ages can participate in this activity.

Is this tour available for people with reduced mobility?

Ask us before booking.

How does the booking process work?

After booking and finalizing payment, you will receive a confirmation of your purchase. Then, in less than 24 hours, you will receive the voucher that you can use to take the excursions.

If the reservation is for the next day, we will be attentive and send you the voucher before your excursion begins.

What is the difficulty level for this trip?

Easy or moderate according to the activity chosen by the passenger. The distance and times to travel are provided on a map to the passengers, so they can choose which activity would like to do.

Of all the trails, we recommend hiking to Laguna Capri.

What should I bring to this activity?

Comfortable shoes, thick soles, baggy pants preferably made of nylon or fabrics that dry quickly, waterproof jacket or windbreaker, extra fleece, hat with a visor, medium backpack, glasses and sunscreen.

How much local history is explained during the experience?

The guide normally provides context about the destination, people, landscape and historical development rather than simply moving between photo stops.

Is this a good activity for the first day in the destination?

This is a full-day excursion. Schedule it when you have the whole day available and confirm the return time before arranging onward travel.

Will there be opportunities for independent exploration?

Many cultural tours include short periods at stops or attractions, but the exact amount depends on the itinerary. Ask if you want substantial free time at a particular site.

Is this tour mainly about taking photographs or about interpretation?

It offers both, but the added value is the guide’s explanation of the places you see. Travelers who enjoy context and storytelling generally get more from the experience.

Can this experience be combined with another half-day activity?

Arrange another substantial activity on a different day. Any evening connection should allow for the published return time and possible delays.

Is the experience suitable for travelers with limited walking ability?

Many cultural tours involve relatively short walks, but surfaces and access vary. Travelers with mobility needs should confirm the specific stops before booking.

How can I get the most value from the guide?

Ask questions about local life, history, neighborhoods and regional culture. Guides can often provide context that is difficult to obtain from signage alone.

Is this type of tour useful even if I have already read a guidebook?

Yes. A local guide can connect places with contemporary context, practical details and stories that are rarely captured in general travel guides.

Will the itinerary feel rushed?

The route is structured to cover key points efficiently. If you prefer a slower pace or want more time at one attraction, a private option may be better when available.

What makes this experience different from exploring independently?

The main difference is interpretation and logistics: the guide connects the sites into a coherent story and helps you understand why each stop matters.
