OVERVIEW

This guided trekking experience takes place in the Magallanes National Reserve, a protected area located a short drive from Punta Arenas. The reserve preserves extensive native forests, mountain scenery, and river valleys that represent the natural ecosystems of southern Patagonia.

The excursion is designed for travelers looking to enjoy nature through light physical activity. Walking along established trails, participants can observe native vegetation and local birdlife while learning about the reserve’s ecological value and conservation role from a professional guide.

The trek follows marked trails through forested sections and open terrain, offering opportunities to observe native plant species and, with some luck, local wildlife. Throughout the walk, the guide shares information about the region’s ecology, geography, and conservation initiatives.
