The day begins with hotel pick-up in Ushuaia around 8:00–8:30 AM. You’ll travel east along Route 3 and Route J until reaching Estancia Harberton, one of the first European settlements in Tierra del Fuego. There, you’ll visit the Marine Mammal Museum and explore the ranch surroundings.
Next, you’ll board a zodiac boat to navigate toward Martillo Island. From the boat, you’ll observe a penguin colony in their natural nesting area. After enjoying this unique wildlife moment, the journey continues by zodiac to the wild and stunning Isla Gable.
Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a hearty Patagonian lunch, featuring fish papillote, local appetizers, dessert, and wine. After coffee, the adventure continues with a guided hike across Isla Gable, passing ancient Yámana relics and the remains of early settlers, surrounded by dramatic landscapes and total tranquility.
After approximately two hours of hiking, you’ll return by zodiac to Harberton and board the bus for the scenic ride back to Ushuaia, arriving around 6:30 PM.
