Our office in Ushuaia is situated 15 kilometers away from the Coastal Path in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Once we transport you there, you’ll be captivated by the surroundings as you explore on foot, deeply connected with nature. The nearly 8-kilometer medium-difficulty hike poses no significant challenge to passengers accustomed to regular exercise and appropriately dressed. This walk offers a delightful opportunity to intimately acquaint ourselves with a rejuvenated paradise where mountains meet the sea, and freshwater from rivers and lakes coexists harmoniously with the coastal environment.
Adjacent to Lake Acigami (formerly known as Lake Roca), we’ll enjoy lunch in our comfortable structural tents, providing shelter from any adverse weather conditions. Following a brief respite and donning rubber boots, waterproof pants, and life jackets, we’ll embark on a leisurely paddle in inflatable canoes (of the duckie variety, renowned for their safety and stability) from Acigami Lake, gently navigating downstream along the languid Lapataia and Ovando rivers. Our journey commences in freshwater and culminates at the sea in Lapataia Bay. Over the course of approximately an hour, we’ll witness the flora and fauna of otherwise inaccessible locales, reminiscent of the vistas cherished by the Yámana people centuries ago.
Our return journey mirrors our arrival: aboard the same buses, albeit now brimming with cherished memories and unforgettable experiences.
