What`s the best time to visit both destinations?
If you’re looking to combine El Calafate and Iguazú Falls in one trip, the best time to visit both destinations would be March to April or October to early November.
Why?
- March-April:
- Iguazú Falls has great weather (less humid than summer, with strong waterfalls).
- El Calafate is transitioning from summer, with good temperatures for glacier visits and fewer tourists. It`s the last portion of the season, but in my opinion it`s a great idea, as it`s also possible to visit the main attractions
- October-November:
- Iguazú Falls is still comfortable before the intense summer heat.
- El Calafate is entering its best season for outdoor exploration.
I think, you avoid extreme summer heat in Iguazú and the coldest winter months in El Calafate, making the trip more comfortable and enjoyable.
