This month offers quieter outdoor activities at lower prices, marking the shoulder season. You can still enjoy outdoor adventures while taking advantage of better rates for cruises to Cape Horn and Patagonia’s southern fjords and glaciers.

Outdoor activities wind down as temperatures drop, but promotional cruises to Cape Horn may be available. It’s the tail end of penguin season, signaling the beginning of the low season.

With short days and chilly temperatures, May isn’t the best time for outdoor activities. There are no cruises to Cape Horn or Antarctica, and penguin sightings are rare.

June:

Winter kicks off in Ushuaia, with ski centers like Cerro Castor beckoning snow sports enthusiasts. Days are shorter, and cruises to Antarctica and Cape Horn are not available.
