Puma Tracking in Torres del Paine with EcoCamp Patagonia

Welcome to Torres del Paine National Park! We will start our journey from Punta Arenas Airport*, taking a transfer to Puerto Natales where we will meet with the tracking team and enjoy a delicious lunch**. The road to Ecocamp via Laguna Amarga will provide plenty of opportunities to admire the Patagonian steppe with its guanacos and snow-covered horizon. Once you arrive at Ecocamp, you will have a short talk and briefing with the guides and trackers.

You can also arrive via Puerto Natales Airport.
** Lunch can be in Puerto Natales or Ecocamp.

We will start each day early, watching the sunrise while enjoying a hot coffee and a grab-and-go breakfast. Our puma tracking team will help us locate the park’s most elusive animals. We typically start before dawn to witness the peak activity moments of the puma. We will break for lunch and rest in our domes, and in the afternoon our guide will lead us through the different habitats and ecosystems of the area, introducing us to the unique and colorful wildlife of Torres del Paine and teaching us the method used for responsible wildlife observation. After enjoying the iconic Patagonian sunset over the Paine massif, we will return to EcoCamp for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

On the fifth day of the program, we will focus on getting to know other inhabitants of the park, who are the puma’s companions in this ecosystem.

Please note: In case of bad weather, alternative activities will be carried out. Example: Paine Grande Waterfall or Laguna Azul.

We will start the day with the sunrise and some incredible photo opportunities in the Laguna Azul and Paine Waterfall area. After that, we will head to EcoCamp to enjoy a hearty breakfast served among fellow wildlife enthusiasts in our Community Dome (you can also take the box lunch on the morning excursion), after that, you will embark with the group on the last journey together and head to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas Airport. Goodbye Patagonia!

Depending on travel conditions, we advise you to spend the last night in Punta Arenas.
