El Chaltén is a small and charming village located in the southern Patagonian region of Argentina, within Los Glaciares National Park. It’s often referred to as the “Trekking Capital of Argentina” due to its proximity to some of the most iconic hiking trails in the region.
One of the main attractions of El Chaltén is its stunning natural beauty, surrounded by towering mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and vast expanses of untouched wilderness. One of the most popular hikes in El Chaltén is the trek to the base of Mount Fitz Roy, a jagged peak that towers over the surrounding landscape. The trail offers breathtaking views of glaciers, lakes, and the iconic peak itself, making it a must-do for outdoor enthusiasts.

If you arrived by bus, we will pick you up from the bus station to transfer you to the hotel. You also can arrive by rented car. Overnight and free time.
Please note, there are many self guided trekking trails you can enjoy during the afternoon, like the trekking to Chorrillo del Salto, or Mirador de los Condores. If you´re interested in a large trekking to Laguna de los Tres or Cerro Torre, please we suggest to book a 2-night or 3-night program to have more time to do that activities. These takes the whole day.
After breakfast, free time until transfer to bus station. If your bus leaves later in afternoon or you´re in a rented car, you can do any of the optional activities in the list below.
