ITINERARY

The adventure begins at 9:00 am with a 4×4 transfer from El Calafate, heading south toward the trekking starting point. From there, you’ll embark on a 7 km hike through scenic canyons and along the Calafate stream, sheltered from the Patagonian wind by towering peaks. As you hike, you’ll discover the region’s diverse wildlife, including birds and stream trout, and marvel at geological formations containing ancient marine fossils that tell the story of the landscape’s transformation.

The trek concludes at La Seccion, 800 meters above sea level, where a delicious lunch featuring local dishes and drinks awaits. After enjoying the meal and breathtaking views, you’ll return to El Calafate by 4×4, completing the experience.
