Cañadon Experience offers a unique, medium-difficulty trekking adventure through Patagonia’s scenic canyons and valleys, starting with a 4×4 transfer from El Calafate. Hike along the Calafate stream, surrounded by towering peaks that shield the path from wind. Explore untouched landscapes, spot local wildlife, and discover ancient marine fossils. The trek finishes at La Seccion, where a delicious meal awaits, before returning by 4×4.
The adventure begins at 9:00 am with a 4×4 transfer from El Calafate, heading south toward the trekking starting point. From there, you’ll embark on a 7 km hike through scenic canyons and along the Calafate stream, sheltered from the Patagonian wind by towering peaks. As you hike, you’ll discover the region’s diverse wildlife, including birds and stream trout, and marvel at geological formations containing ancient marine fossils that tell the story of the landscape’s transformation.
The trek concludes at La Seccion, 800 meters above sea level, where a delicious lunch featuring local dishes and drinks awaits. After enjoying the meal and breathtaking views, you’ll return to El Calafate by 4×4, completing the experience.

If for any reason, you decide to cancel the activity or excursion, the cancellation conditions specified in the product description or in the voucher will be valid.
In the event that the cancellation conditions in the product description do not differ, the provider of tourist services will charge you the following cancellation fees:
a. Up to 72 hours before the start of the activity: full refund (again we indicate that in certain specific cases the term may differ from this general policy)
b. After 72 hours before the start of the activity: no refund.
The entire experience lasts approximately 5 hours, including 3 hours of trekking.
The trek is of medium difficulty, covering 7 km with a 400-meter elevation gain.
