After gear fitting and a short transfer along scenic RP 41, you’ll begin paddling the Río de las Vueltas from Laguna Cóndor. The journey covers 12 km of calm, shallow waters through winding meanders and native Andean-Patagonian forest. Mount Fitz Roy stands proudly in the background. The experience ends at Estancia Bonanza, where a delicious lunch awaits (optional). Return to El Chaltén by van after the activity.

The tour begins at the operational base on Av. San Martín 872 in El Chaltén. After receiving your technical and safety gear, the group transfers approximately 21 km by vehicle to the Laguna Cóndor viewpoint. There, you’ll get final instructions and a safety briefing before launching your kayak. Depending on experience and availability, participants use either sit-on-top double kayaks or single touring kayaks.
You’ll paddle for about 1.5 hours downstream along the Río de las Vueltas, surrounded by pristine forest and panoramic views of Mount Fitz Roy. The route finishes at Estancia Bonanza. Guests who choose the lunch option will enjoy a hearty meal with a view before returning to El Chaltén by van.
If you opt out of lunch, you’ll return around 1:00 PM. The full experience lasts 4 hours without lunch or 6.5 hours with lunch.

In the event that the cancellation conditions in the product description do not differ, the provider of tourist services will charge you the following cancellation fees:
a. Up to 72 hours before the start of the activity: full refund (again we indicate that in certain specific cases the term may differ from this general policy)
b. After 72 hours before the start of the activity: no refund.
This tour operates on December 24th and 31st, however, it is not available on December 25th and January 1st.

The Chaltén Kayak experience is generally not recommended for people with reduced mobility. The activity requires participants to be able to move and maneuver in a kayak, which can be physically demanding, especially in the more technical sections of the river.
