The adventure begins at our base in El Chaltén (Av. San Martín 872), where participants receive technical and safety equipment. After gearing up, you’ll be transported by van 21 km along RP 41 to the Laguna Cóndor Viewpoint near Lake del Desierto. Here, the navigation begins after a safety briefing, as you embark on a 12 km journey down the Río de las Vueltas. This scenic section of the river winds through a beautiful Patagonian Andean forest, with the north face of Fitz Roy towering in the distance. The ride lasts approximately 1.5 hours, depending on river flow and wind conditions.
At the end of the journey, you’ll arrive at Estancia Bonanza, where a delicious lunch awaits with stunning views of Cerro Fitz Roy. After the meal, you’ll return by van to El Chaltén. For those opting out of lunch, the return is scheduled around 1:00 pm.
