This 4×4 adventure takes you deep into the remote landscapes of Patagonia, far from the typical tourist routes. We depart from El Calafate, heading south towards stunning panoramic viewpoints overlooking the majestic Verlika and Baguales hills, which mark the southern border with Chile. As we explore, you’ll witness unique natural wonders like fossilized oyster reefs and ancient, unexplored chenques—burial sites of the indigenous Tehuelche people. Along the way, we’ll also have the opportunity to spot local wildlife and learn about the native flora, making this a true expedition into Patagonia’s untamed wilderness.
The journey culminates at La Sección of Estancia 25 de Mayo, where you’ll enjoy either lunch or dinner at an authentic Patagonian farmhouse located 800 meters above sea level. The menu features a traditional spread, starting with a picada appetizer, followed by a hearty lentil stew, and ending with a delicious cheesecake. Refreshing beverages are included. On PM departures on December 24 and 31, guests will also enjoy a toast with a sweet table to celebrate the festive season. This low-difficulty excursion runs daily at 9 AM and 4 PM, lasts 5 hours, and covers 50 km, offering a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in Patagonia’s untouched beauty.
