What is the best season to visit El Chaltén?
It is best to visit when temperatures are milder. In winter, extreme cold and ice can make some activities, especially the classic treks, difficult or unavailable. Daylight hours are also limited. The most favorable period is spring and summer (October to March). Visiting in September and April is possible, although certain activities may be restricted depending on weather conditions. For example, after snowfall some trails, such as Laguna de los Tres, may be temporarily closed.
