Horseback Riding to Cerro Dorotea from Puerto Natales

Embark on a horseback ride ascent to Cerro Dorotea, standing at approximately 800 meters in height. After about 1 ½ hours, we reach the summit and take a break, allowing the horses to rest, right where we enjoy a breathtaking view of Puerto Natales, Ultima Esperanza Fjord, Gulf Montt, Dumestre sector, and a large part of the Patagonian steppe (Argentina). At the top of the hill, we may also witness the majestic condor, which nests in the vertical walls of Cerro Dorotea and will likely soar above us to ensure we are not potential prey. These perfect flights are thanks to the wind, which, upon colliding with the vertical walls of the hill, provides the ideal sustenance for the condor to approach just meters away from the horses. After visiting the summit, we continue along the ridge of the hill, with a direct view of Puerto Natales, until beginning the descent back to the Paredes family’s house. Transfer back to Puerto Natales.
