OVERVIEW

Discover the wild landscapes north of Ushuaia on a full-day adventure combining 4×4 off-road driving, a walk through the Fuegian forest and canoeing on Escondido Lake.

Leaving Ushuaia along National Route 3, the journey crosses the Andes and passes some of Tierra del Fuego’s most remarkable scenery, including Carbajal Valley, Garibaldi Pass and the shores of Fagnano Lake. From there, the 4×4 adventure continues along secondary roads and rugged trails surrounded by native forest.

After a walk through the forest, arrive at a private refuge beside Escondido Lake, where an Argentine-style barbecue is prepared with choripán, steak, roasted vegetables, dessert, wine and water. The experience continues on the lake, exploring its peaceful surroundings by canoe before returning to Ushuaia.

Your adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel in Ushuaia. Travel north along National Route 3, passing through the dramatic landscapes of Tierra del Fuego and making a panoramic stop at Carbajal Valley.

Cross the Andes at Garibaldi Pass

Continue toward Garibaldi Pass, one of the most impressive viewpoints along the route. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes before leaving the main road behind.

4×4 Adventure to Fagnano Lake

Enter the off-road circuit aboard a 4×4 vehicle. Travel through rugged secondary roads, mud, water and forest trails until reaching the impressive shores of Fagnano Lake.

Forest Walk & Argentine Barbecue

Continue with a walk through the native forest until reaching the refuge beside Escondido Lake. Here, enjoy an Argentine barbecue including appetizers, choripán, steak, roasted vegetables, dessert, wine and water.

Canoeing on Escondido Lake

After lunch, take to the waters of Escondido Lake in pairs and explore its quiet surroundings by canoe. The activity is subject to suitable weather and safety conditions.

Return to Ushuaia

After canoeing, begin the journey back to Ushuaia, arriving in the city at approximately 5:00 PM.
